形態特徵

• Plants 3-5 cm tall from underground tuberoid to terminal flower. Roots slender. Tuberoids globose or ovoid, 3-4 mm long, 3 mm thick. Stems terete, clearly divided into 2 separate parts with a node between them, lower part pilose, 1.5 cm long, 1-1.2 mm in diam., upper part glabrous, about 1.7 cm long, 1.5 mm in diam., node with a small scale.
• Leaves sessile, cordate, 1.5 cm long, 1.6 cm wide, acute, with reticulate venation.
• Flowers light violet-red, nearly sessile; bract lanceolate, 5 mm long, acuminate; ovary short, about 3 mm long; dorsal sepal linear, incurved, 13 mm long, 2 mm wide, obtuse, entire; lateral sepals placed below lip, filiform, connate at base for 1/4 length, connate part 3 mm long, free part 10 mm long; petals filiform, 10 mm long; lip orbicular-elliptic in outline when expanded, 17 mm long, 10 mm wide, tubular at base, dilated into a broad limb strongly recurved in middle region, disc marked with parallel dark red stripes, fimbriate on apical margin, spurs horn-like, 3 mm long; pollinia 4, in 2 pairs, yellow, 1.2 mm long, connected by a large elliptic viscidium; stigma protruding, cupular.

分布

• 台灣 : only collected once at northern Taiwan, growing on shaded mossy cliff in a Chamaecyparis forest at about 1,400 m.
